Morcom Surveyors service the central west and central regions of Queensland.
We service the RAPAD Council areas of Longreach, Blackall Tambo, Barcoo, Barcaldine, Winton, Boulia and Diamantina. We travel to SW QLD to service Quilpie, Bulloo, Paroo and Murweh Shires.
We also service the Livingstone, Rockhampton and Banana Shires, and are specifically equipped to travel further afield.

We hire Survey Equipment
- Hire of GPS base/rover kits – suitable for detail survey pickup and rural road construction. Base only option for machine guidance – you can also talk to us about machine guidance for your equipment.
- Hire of standalone GPS units – utilises satellite corrections for sub 50mm horizontal accuracy – ideal for dam and remote road construction and GIS mapping.
We provide Underground Service Location services
- Asset location / measurement / logging
- Location and mapping of services such as communications, electricity and sewers
- Currently training for registration
We provide Mapping and GIS services
- These include asset location, measurement and logging activities
- They include data management and update work
- These can include UAV (drone) mapping surveys
Our Mobile Survey Facility
Our mobile survey facility allows us to undertake large and lengthy jobs in remote locations.
The mobile survey facility includes a fully equipped suite of field survey equipment, an air conditioned office, accommodation, workshop and transport of the required survey pegs.
The mobile office has a remote internet connection and provides all the required support for our field work. All of our survey vehicles have full time connection to satellite communication which also improves safety.
Our mobile survey facility locates the important decision making function in the field and while the field work is being undertaken.
The Morcom Surveying Team

Our team changes from one qualified surveyor to several as required.

Our Equipment
We extensively use robotic total stations and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey equipment. These solutions feature smart handheld computing devices which both collect data and allow us to plan and manage the work.
We will determine the work and the data to be collected in the field at the start of the job. The smart robotic and GPS equipment allows us to complete the work field work quickly and efficiently.
