The Morcom Surveyors team continues to grow and we are always looking for people to fill a range of roles.
We offer full-time, casual and short-term employment within rural Australia.
Morcom Surveyors prioritise the offering of employment and career opportunities to those within the rural community.
Roles within the team are varied and suit a wide variety of resources. The roles include the following;
- Registered / Experienced Surveyor: Help complete projects with ongoing support.
- Surveyor: Reap the benefits of working with experienced registered surveyors and ongoing training with the opportunity for registration with SBQ.
- Trainee Surveyor: Start your survey career here. Work with other surveyors to learn the basics through to the technical calculations.
- Drafter: Taking the data collected by the survey team, you will prepare the formal survey plans to be provided to the customer. All work is reviewed and checked prior to release to the customer.
- Survey Assistant: This role includes driving in pegs and actively supporting the Survey Team. You don’t need any qualification and this could lead to a Surveyor role for the right person.
- Town Planner: Preparation and management of Development Applications to Councils.
- Flood Damage Inspector: Manage flood damage inspection and maintain a register of Council roads.
Morcom Surveyors provide food and accommodation for the team when working away. Naturally the food and accommodation will vary depending on the location of the work.
Training Young People
Morcom Surveyors prioritise the offering of training opportunities for young people, and particularly those from rural Australia.
We are currently working to formalise training and career opportunities for school students. These opportunities may be formal traineeships in conjunction with registered training providers.
These opportunities may include the student commencing training during their final years of high school.
